- Digitally remastered edition. Something Else Again was Richie Havens' second studio album. Released in January 1968, the sound here is more keyboard-heavy than it's predecessor Mixed Bag, but Havens continues in a similar vein with his distinctive smoky voice and thumb-fretted open-tuned guitar. The track quot;No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Neededquot; is propelled by Warren Bernhardt's percussive electric piano and was later reworked by Yes on their second album, Time and a Word. quot;Inside of Himquot; and quot;Sugarplumsquot; are ballads featuring the flute of Jeremy Steig, and quot;The Klanquot; and quot;Run Shaker Lifequot; are similar in style to quot;Handsome Johnny,quot; the Woodstock show-stopper.
